Drink this Digestive Tea to Flush Toxins
I drink this tea every day. Here’s why.
I begin every day by making a tea of cumin, coriander, and fennel (CCF tea) to stimulate my agni, or digestive fire. A strong agni takes anything that comes into your system and absorbs the nourishing parts while eliminating the rest. But agni is the weakest in the morning so I like to give it a boost upon waking with this powerful remedy.

This trio creates powerful spice medicine that gently stokes the digestive fire without being so stimulating that you might overheat.
Cumin: reduces cramps, gas, and indigestion; improves elimination; flushes toxins
Coriander: increases absorption; improves digestion; calms muscle spasms; reduces inflammation
Fennel: reduces cramps, gas, and indigestion; increases fat burning; moves lymph
Ingredients
4 cups water
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon coriander
1 tablespoon fennel
1/2 inch piece of peeled ginger (optional)
Servings: 4-5
Total Time: 5 Minutes
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Strain spices and drink one cup in the morning.
Store the remaining tea in a thermos to drink throughout the day. (Do not re-heat.)
